A super green start to 2023
The Piedmontese winery led by Chiara Soldati inaugurates the new year with two of the most important "green" certifications.
A positive start to 2023 for La Scolca with the obtainment of FSSC 22000 and SQPNI certifications, a double achievement confirming the company's strong commitment to sustainability in the agricultural sector. The marks obtained recognise ethical, transparent and quality production, i.e. the set of values that distinguish La Scolca and are, moreover, a guarantee tool for employees and consumers who interface with the company.
For years, La Scolca has been committed to environmental and social actions, focusing on respect for the territory and those who deal with it, a philosophy pursued by Chiara Soldati, the company's owner and CEO - who has been recently appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro (Knight of Labour) - with the aim of contributing to the well-being of the environment and society.
"The double certification is an important goal," says Chiara Soldati, "that I am glad to share with my team, which has always accompanied me on this path. It is also a further stimulus to strengthen La Scolca's green profile along the entire production chain, in order to guarantee the consumer the most informed choice possible. A path that certainly involves considerable investment in economic and ethical terms, but which we believe is of crucial importance for the wellbeing of today and future generations."

Being sustainable implies a balance between the economic growth of the company, the preservation of natural resources and the respect for human labour, to guarantee a condition of global sustainability. Certainly a complex and articulated concept that La Scolca is putting into practice to meet the needs of today's and tomorrow's consumers. It is no coincidence that sustainability is considered one of the most influential drivers of purchasing behaviour, a trend confirmed by the increasing interaction with green products.
The growing appeal of sustainable products compared to conventional ones is linked to the transparency of production processes, the origin of raw materials and the materials used; fair information guaranteeing sustainability that stimulates consumer confidence in certified products.
“Our path towards sustainability undertaken some time ago” - Chiara Soldati continues - “has allowed us to obtain the SQNPI mark, Sistema di Qualità Nazionale Produzione Integrata (National Quality System for Integrated Production). A certification that rewards our commitment to offering quality wines, an expression of the characteristics of the territory and the know-how of those who take care of it. Thanks to the safety of our products and our continuous desire to renew ourselves, as confirmed by the recent introduction of the new bottling line, we have also obtained FSSC 22000 recognition."
This latest certification, issued by the Norwegian company DNV, refers to the ISO 2000 standards for safety management in the agri-food sector. This attests, at international level, to the company's
continuous improvement throughout the production chain, to offer wines that protect health and the environment. A business model, that of La Scolca, which succeeds in merging the strong link with the Gavi territory, the knowledge and passion for wine-growing and the attention to the environment, in a modern company, projected towards the future, but which does not forget tradition.
